A OpenGov Case Study
Tuolumne County was using an outdated and user-unfriendly budgeting system that required staff to manage numbers in one system and then submit separate Word documents to explain their budget. This inefficient process hindered their ability to engage with the community and pursue recognition like the GFOA award. The county upgraded to OpenGov Budgeting & Planning to address this challenge.
The solution from OpenGov provided a unified platform where all budgeting work, including narrative explanations, could be completed in one place. This saved a tremendous amount of time and made the process much faster. As a direct result of implementing OpenGov, Tuolumne County won its first ever GFOA Budget Award for its fiscal year 21-22 budget and can now provide clear, accessible budget information to its community.
