A OpenGov Case Study
The City of Orlando, FL faced major inefficiencies in its procurement process, with its existing eprocurement platform used mainly for posting solicitations and addenda. Developing solicitations, communicating with suppliers, gathering signatures, and training new users all required extensive manual work and slowed down the bid cycle. OpenGov Procurement helped the city centralize and modernize this workflow.
With OpenGov, the City of Orlando implemented an all-in-one procurement system that added automation, intelligent boilerplates, and pre-built templates. As a result, solicitation development dropped from at least four weeks to just 5–7 minutes, a 99% faster process. The city also improved collaboration, made onboarding easier, and saw better-quality, more compliant supplier responses.
