A OpenGov Case Study
The City of Nassau Bay faced an urgent need to modernize its aging government ERP and reporting environment as its chart of accounts had grown unwieldy and its financial data was too limited and delayed for better decision-making. Having already used OpenGov’s Reporting and Transparency platform, the City turned to OpenGov to move core financial capabilities to the cloud and improve transparency, accuracy, and timeliness.
OpenGov worked with Nassau Bay to implement a GAAP-compliant chart of accounts and cross-walk the city’s new codes, budget, and data into its cloud platform with minimal disruption. With OpenGov, Nassau Bay gained more detailed spend and revenue visibility, real-time dashboard updates, and expects more than a 60% productivity improvement in budgeting and planning after year one.
