A OpenGov Case Study
The City of Fishers, a fast-growing suburb of Indianapolis, needed a flexible way to streamline workflows across multiple departments and quickly stand up a new local health department during the COVID-19 pandemic. With OpenGov Permitting & Licensing, the city aimed to replace manual processes, improve collaboration, and create a better source of truth for data and reporting.
OpenGov implemented its cloud-based Permitting & Licensing suite with configurable drag-and-drop forms that let Fishers build and adjust workflows without heavy IT support. As a result, eight departments now use the platform, the city can generate monthly and weekly reports, and Fishers reported increased efficiency, fewer service interruptions, and faster public service delivery with no face-to-face contact.
