A OpenGov Case Study
The City of Claremore faced slow, cumbersome economic development processes, including outdated codes and an overly complicated permitting system that made it harder for staff, contractors, and residents to move projects forward. To better support growth, Claremore worked with OpenGov and used OpenGov Permitting & Licensing as part of a broader effort to modernize development planning and approvals.
OpenGov helped the City of Claremore launch a user-friendly, online permitting system in five months, bringing contractor license registration, residential and commercial building permits, and trade permits online. The result was less foot traffic and fewer calls and emails for staff, a smoother experience for residents, and strong feedback from developers who appreciated being able to request inspections online.
