How Phoenix Elementary School District Used Cloud Procurement Software To Meet Goals

Phoenix Elementary School District #1 needed a better way to manage federally funded procurement and prove DEI compliance to auditors. Its team had previously assembled vendor classification data manually, making RFP reporting time-consuming and sometimes incomplete. Phoenix Elementary School District #1 used OpenGov Procurement to modernize the process.

OpenGov implemented a digital end-to-end RFP and reporting workflow using adapted templates, enabling the district to capture vendor classifications by type and share the data easily. The result was faster reporting, about two months to get up and running, and stronger compliance with federal code. Phoenix Elementary School District #1 also saw an uptick in RFP responses, especially from minority-owned businesses, and could clearly present the classifications of 17 approved vendors to its board.
