A OpenGov Case Study
NOVA Parks, the Northern Virginia Regional Park Authority, needed a faster, more flexible way to manage budgeting, reporting, and seasonal revenue planning after relying on time-consuming Excel and paper-based processes. As an OpenGov customer, NOVA Parks used OpenGov Budgeting and Planning along with OpenGov Reporting and Transparency to make data easier to analyze and to improve budget decisions across its seasonal attractions.
OpenGov implemented automated reporting, dashboards, Stories, and Workforce Planning to help NOVA Parks slice and dice data, share monthly updates, and modernize planning workflows. The results were significant: reports that once took a full week now take about 30 minutes, board communication became easier and more transparent, and the team moved away from paper-heavy meetings to real-time budget updates.
