A OpenGov Case Study
The City of Groveland, FL needed a better way to run procurement after launching its first procurement department with limited staff and a paper-based bidding process. Working with OpenGov’s Procurement & Contract Management solution, the city sought to manage bids more efficiently and fairly while handling more work with fewer resources.
OpenGov implemented an electronic bidding system with tools for automated solicitation development, bid tabulation, vendor self-service, Q&A, and addenda tracking. The result was a bid cycle that is 1–3 months faster, implementation in less than a month, and an average of 2.5x more bid responses, expanding Groveland’s supplier base to 3,000 suppliers.
