A OpenGov Case Study
The City of Burlingame sought to increase process efficiency and improve communication with its tech-savvy community. The city wanted to streamline internal workflows, eliminate redundancies, and better share infrastructure maintenance activities with its citizens. To meet this challenge, they turned to OpenGov and its operations management software.
OpenGov's solution was integrated with SeeClickFix's citizen engagement platform to create a seamless system called AccessBurlingame. This allowed residents to submit maintenance requests, which were then passed directly into OpenGov for crews to action. The integration eliminated duplicate data entry, provided crews with helpful photos, and offered full transparency to citizens. As a result, the City of Burlingame significantly improved operational efficiency, data quality, and citizen satisfaction, earning OpenGov's Flag Forward Award for their innovative approach.
