Case Study: LifeLearn achieves streamlined global collaboration and clear project visibility with OneDesk

A OneDesk Case Study

Preview of the LifeLearn Case Study

LifeLearn puts Web 2.0 and mobile technology to work to improve animal & human health worldwide

LifeLearn, a global distance-learning organization founded in 1993 that today serves thousands of veterinarians worldwide, needed a collaborative platform to manage complex, time‑sensitive multimedia projects and to stop critical information from being buried in spreadsheets and email. After a disappointing experience with a traditional project management tool, LifeLearn evaluated at least 30 products and chose OneDesk, adopting the OneDesk unified product platform to give distributed teams the visibility and threaded communication they required.

OneDesk delivered a social, centralized environment with discussions at multiple project levels, task‑level blogs, and workflows to move and escalate items as they mature, which LifeLearn rolled out to the entire team after testing in early 2012. The OneDesk solution tightened communications, preserved context across simultaneous projects, reduced lost information, and helped enable LifeLearn’s ambitious mobile DVM programs (in partnership with Veterinarians Without Borders and Rogers) being launched in Laos and planned for Africa.
