The VMware User Group (VMUG) is a global, customer-led community of over 110,000 virtualization professionals that provides training, collaboration and events. As their webinar volume and virtual-event ambitions grew, VMUG’s lower-end meeting solution proved inflexible, produced poor audio/video, made recordings hard to export and couldn’t reliably run multiple events at once.

VMUG implemented ON24 Webcast Elite and the ON24 Webcast Elite Portal, leveraging features like chat, polling, Q&A, easy registration and widget-driven design to run concurrent regional meetings, daily webinars and a large annual virtual event. The platform eliminated scale and A/V problems, is used daily by a 10-person team, increased webcast attendance 35%, lifted portal views 72% in under two months, and powered the 2015 flagship event (10,359 registrants, 4,529 attendees, 900+ on-demand viewers, 176.6 minutes average view time and 28,000+ document/webcast views), while reaching 95% new audience members.
