Sodexo, a global food and facilities management company with more than 400,000 employees, needed a more flexible, cost-effective way to train roughly 4,500 U.S. managers and international guests. Traditional in-person sessions were costly and conflicted with client schedules and vacations, so the company sought to reduce travel costs while improving attendance and engagement.
Partnering with ON24, Sodexo built a Virtual Learning Environment with virtual auditoriums, a President’s Club, a categorized training center, peer networking and gamification to deliver blended, repeatable training. The VLE generated more than $1 million in savings, doubled training attendance, increased employee satisfaction and drove strong engagement—examples include 3,201 live Q&A attendees, 7,997 webcast views, 100,047 document views and 1,194 e‑learnings completed.
