La Trobe University maintains high enrollment rates with live and on-demand webinars

La Trobe University, a Melbourne-based institution serving more than 36,000 students, faced a sudden March 2020 lockdown that cancelled its in-person Open Day—an event central to lead generation and enrollment. The challenge was to rapidly convert campus tours, faculty presentations and live Q&As across multiple campuses into a virtual experience that kept prospective students engaged and captured meaningful intent data.

Using ON24 Webcast Elite and the Engagement Hub, La Trobe produced interactive live and simulive sessions with hosted Q&A, on-demand content and audience analytics for targeted follow-up. In eight weeks they coordinated 100 sessions, ran 200+ broadcasts reaching over 30,000 attendees, increased Open Day registrations by 167%, maintained enrollment levels and expanded reach into China, India and Vietnam.
