How Marriott worked with ON24 to create a virtual learning environment “Voyage”

Marriott International, a global hospitality leader with more than 3,800 properties and roughly 325,000 employees, faced fragmented, paper-based onboarding across brands and regions that didn’t scale, lacked interactivity, mobile access or opportunities for collaboration, and failed to engage today’s digital-first recruits. Seeking a more connected, modern approach, Marriott partnered with ON24 to redesign onboarding around social learning and collaboration.

Working with ON24, Marriott launched Voyage, a 24/7 virtual onboarding environment that blends social tools with learning-management functions, includes coaches and champions, and gives managers usage data to spot engagement gaps. Piloted with 65 new hires and expanding to hundreds more, Voyage has driven faster cultural assimilation and on-the-job effectiveness, built a bonded virtual community of learners, and generated strong positive feedback while supporting global, multilingual access.
