How Emarsys achieved global event scale by switching to ON24

Emarsys, a Vienna‑based martech leader in omnichannel customer engagement, needed to reimagine its annual Retail Renaissance event in 2020 amid a surge of virtual conferences. The challenge was to produce 50 sessions across four time zones in roughly 10–12 weeks and create an experience that would cut through the digital noise rather than feel like a standard webinar.

By switching to the ON24 Digital Experience Platform (including Webcast Elite and the Engagement Hub), Emarsys ran a three‑day, multi‑language virtual festival with interactive sessions, networking activities and on‑demand access, while feeding engagement data into Marketo and Salesforce to enable intent‑based follow up. The event drew more than 3,000 registrants from 30+ countries, drove about 9,000 session registrations, 1,000+ content downloads during the event and sustained on‑demand views—generating considerable direct and influenced pipeline.
