Southern Wine & Spirits, the largest wine and spirits distributor in the U.S., operates 900 daily routes serving more than 20,000 customers from 37 warehouses across 12 states. The company relied on Roadnet for routing but faced inaccurate service times, untracked skipped deliveries and high overtime because routes often didn’t return as planned.
Southern implemented Omnitracs Roadnet plus MobileCast on nearly 1,000 GPS-enabled phones and added Roadnet Info Center for enterprise visibility, enabling real-time service-time recording, route resequencing and proactive customer notifications. The solution paid for itself in under 10 months and delivered a $250,000 reduction in overtime, a 2% cut in driver payroll, a 5% reduction in total routes and 7% annual business growth.
