Loomis Armored, a leading cash-handling and armored vehicle operator, was looking to reduce accident frequency and severity while protecting people, equipment, liability, and its safety reputation. To support its “Perfect Day” safety philosophy, Loomis turned to Omnitracs and the SmartDrive® Video-Based Safety Program to better understand and address risky driving behaviors across its nearly 3,000-vehicle U.S. fleet.

Omnitracs implemented SmartDrive Safety, an in-vehicle video and event data solution with coaching and management tools that helped Loomis identify unsafe behaviors, improve driver performance, and strengthen risk management. The results included a 68% reduction in seatbelt non-usage within six months, clearer exoneration of drivers in not-at-fault collisions, and added anti-robbery awareness benefits through SmartRecorder™.
