Wilson Oil, a small heating-oil and HVAC company in Wallingford, PA, faced slow, paper-heavy delivery operations—drivers used printed tickets that were sorted and sequenced manually, a process that could take three hours on busy winter mornings and limited the company’s efficiency and growth.
Partnering with Omnitracs Roadnet and Cargas, Wilson implemented Roadnet, MobileCast and Info Center plus a Cargas-built mobile/tablet solution that eliminated paper tickets, provided real-time driver tracking, on-truck billing, and meter integration. The result: a virtually paperless operation with better dispatch visibility and cash flow, the ability to give accurate ETAs (and scale without more admin), and measurable gains—2,530 fewer miles (6.2% reduction) and 421 fewer stops (3.2% reduction).
