Landmark Properties is a national student housing developer and manager (founded 2004, nearly 70 properties) that needed a better way to capture and convert online leads after relying on Facebook Messenger with poor results—an issue made urgent when COVID-19 closed leasing offices and web traffic spiked during move-in season. The team wanted personalized, trackable conversations that could replicate in-person leasing interactions.

Landmark implemented Olark across multiple properties, using pre-chat and offline forms, agent notifications, shortcuts, automated greetings, and personalized agent photos to engage visitors and track journeys. In the fiscal quarter beginning July 15, 2020, Justin Stone’s portfolio logged 14 leads attributed to Olark, and at The Avenue in Fayetteville, AR, 50% of those Olark leads signed leases; the company plans a company-wide rollout.
