British Airways, the United Kingdom's largest airline, aimed to achieve 10 percent business growth in North America. A significant challenge was that their highest-revenue routes to and from the UK were not expected to grow, requiring a new strategy. OgilvyOne Worldwide identified an opportunity on the North America to India route. Their solution was an online marketing campaign centered around a short film about a family reunion, which was distributed using social and search data. The campaign was highly successful; the video received over a million YouTube views and 125,000 Facebook shares. Consequently, British Airways saw ticket sales on this route increase by 65 percent and captured 38 percent of the market share, up from just 5 percent.
