JetBlue - Customer Case Study

JetBlue needed to assess the passenger experience for the T5 extension at JFK International Airport in New York, with particular concern about movement and amenity in the central concessions area. Oasys Software’s MassMotion was used to model passenger flows in more detail than the airline’s existing process simulations could provide.

Oasys Software created a detailed MassMotion simulation of a full day of activity, covering passenger movements to and from the gates as well as use of dining and retail space. This helped JetBlue demonstrate to the Port Authority of New York & New Jersey that the terminal design would support strong passenger satisfaction, enabling approval to proceed; the T5i Extension opened in 2014.
