Case Study: Vodafone Egypt optimizes order quantities and centralizes store logistics with NTS Retail

A NTS Retail Case Study

Preview of the Vodafone Case Study

Vodafone Egypt uses NTS Retail to manage and monitor store processes

Vodafone Egypt, a leading telecom provider serving nearly 40 million customers, faced complex integration and inventory challenges: disparate CRM, billing and datalake systems, dual operating modes (Citrix and fat client), and the need for more secure, accurate in‑store processes. To address this, Vodafone partnered with NTS Retail, initially deploying the NTSwincash retail management software and later upgrading to the NTS Retail X3 platform to centralize and modernize store and logistics operations.

NTS Retail implemented a central logistics module, serial‑number tracking, an online payment gateway and the NTS drf dynamic replenishment forecast to automate order calculations. The solution enabled end‑to‑end goods flow visibility, faster bill payment and service activation, and automated shop‑to‑shop transfers—supporting logistics for 350+ Vodafone shops and about 1,000 POS terminals. As a result, Vodafone achieved improved system security, reduced activation waiting times, optimized order quantities and significant cost savings.
