Swisscom, Switzerland’s leading telecommunications provider with more than 6.6 million mobile customers, needed a platform‑independent approach to hardware and further optimization of its in‑store systems to boost efficiency, sustainability and customer service. To address this, Swisscom engaged NTS Retail and its suite of solutions — including the NTS Retail POS, mobile Inventory/Logistics module and the NTS repairmanager — focused on Retail Management, Inventory Management, Channel Management and In‑Store Customer Engagement.
NTS Retail deployed digital receipts with eSignature at the POS (rolled out across 120 branches), a platform‑independent mobile stocktake solution for common tablets with Bluetooth scanners, and the NTS repairmanager for centralized repair handling. The implementation cut stocktake effort by up to 50%, reduced printouts and maintenance/hardware costs, improved error handling and user friendliness, and supported Swisscom’s sustainability goals — delivering measurable time and cost savings while enhancing customer service.
