A NRC Health Case Study
St. Joseph’s Health Care London, a large multi-site academic healthcare organization, wanted to better understand and improve its employee workplace experience after its earlier 2003 survey. The hospital worked with NRC Health, using NRC Picker’s employee experience survey to measure progress, benchmark against similar organizations, and identify key areas such as communication, recognition, learning, and work environment.
NRC Health helped St. Joseph’s launch a branded survey process, analyze results, and build a quality of worklife response team to drive follow-up action. The organization saw significant improvement from the prior survey, with higher employee commitment and more staff willing to recommend St. Joseph’s as an employer; 18 of 36 items improved with no significant declines, especially in learning environment, communication, physical environment/safety, and recognition/compensation.
