A NRC Health Case Study
National Healthcare Corporation (NHC), a Tennessee-based post-acute care provider operating skilled nursing, home care, assisted living, and other services, needed a way to consistently deliver patient-centered experiences across a large and geographically spread organization. Like many healthcare systems, NHC faced the challenge of aligning staff, processes, and quality initiatives while maintaining strong performance on patient satisfaction and recommendation measures.
To support this, NHC worked with NRC Health to reinforce its patient-centered care strategy and survey-driven improvement efforts. Using a corporate-wide culture called “The Better Way,” along with 20 service promises, daily stand-up meetings, staff recognition, and the TAKE OFF discharge transition plan, NHC standardized care delivery while still allowing local flexibility. The result was consistently excellent performance across post-acute care survey domains, with top marks on overall satisfaction and recommendation, plus strong scores in quality of life, quality of care, and quality of service.
