University of Virginia Darden School of Business - Customer Case Study

The University of Virginia Darden School of Business, led by Professor Jeanne Liedtka, wanted to scale its Design Thinking curriculum online while preserving the collaborative, project-based experience that drives innovation. To do this, Darden partnered with NovoEd and used NovoEd’s collaborative learning platform to recreate mentorship, peer feedback, and team-based workspaces at scale.

NovoEd delivered an eight-week, project-driven course organized around 15 Design Thinking principles, with mentor support, team collaboration, and iterative student assignments. The program generated 540 assignments, 1,053 forum posts, and achieved a 95% participant recommendation rate, demonstrating NovoEd’s effectiveness in enabling experiential, scalable online learning.
