The Power of Virtual Learning, The MyPath Experience

PerkinElmer, a global biotechnology leader, faced the challenge of improving the effectiveness of its dispersed manager population — transitioning from a largely classroom-based, compliance-focused learning model to engaging, flexible, and business-relevant development. To meet design goals such as interactive learning, on-the-job practice, networking, and accessibility, PerkinElmer partnered with NovoEd and used the NovoEd collaborative learning platform as the backbone for its new program.

Using NovoEd as the mission-critical hub, PerkinElmer launched MyPath, a scalable online program combining synchronous live sessions, asynchronous assignments, peer feedback, and coach-led groups; the platform integrated videos, role-play submissions, and facilitator engagement to create an end-to-end virtual classroom. The results were strong: 87% of learners rated content favorably, 84% planned to apply learning on the job, 86% expected positive team impact, and Net Promoter Scores met or exceeded corporate-university benchmarks (one module scored 60%, +24 points over the industry average), leading PerkinElmer to expand MyPath company-wide.
