Baker Hughes Builds Mission Driven Community Through Cohort-Based Learning

Baker Hughes, a Brandon Hall Group Excellence Award‑winning energy technology company with more than 55,000 employees, launched CORE—a fully self‑directed social community to drive the company’s four core values and recreate the value of face‑to‑face learning. The learning team faced the challenge of building an immersive, voluntary, cohort‑based experience that could scale rapidly on a small budget and include frontline workers, and CORE is now powered by the collaborative learning platform NovoEd.

NovoEd delivered a seamless, social cohort‑based platform with full‑feature iOS and Android apps to support CORE’s LEARN/ENGAGE/DELIVER framework, enable continuous, personalized learning, and centralize data for insights. As a result, CORE expanded from a pilot to more than 5,000 voluntary members in less than two years, exceeding expectations and driving engagement, rapid skill development at scale, and broader cultural impact across Baker Hughes.
