How to Build an Engaged Community of Learners at a Global Energy Company

Brandon Hall Group set out to showcase how organizations can build an engaged, continuous learning community that reinforces company values and works across remote, hybrid, and distributed workforces. The challenge was to centralize learning, scale a voluntary cohort-based program, and make social learning a sustainable part of everyday work — and Brandon Hall Group highlighted NovoEd, a social and collaborative learning platform, as the technology partner that could enable that shift.

NovoEd powered the CORE community use case by delivering a modern, mobile-friendly platform with curated learning paths, automatic progress tracking and badge issuance, facilitator analytics, and social/cohort features. Those capabilities helped scale the program to more than 5,000 participants, supported measurable improvements in absenteeism, turnover and engagement, and contributed to CORE earning two Brandon Hall Group Gold Excellence Awards — demonstrating NovoEd’s impact on centralized, data-driven community learning.
