Canon Australia wanted to move beyond a traditional social media presence and build a stronger, more authentic connection with photographers by showcasing customer stories and user-generated content. To do that, Canon Australia needed a UGC platform that could discover, curate, and display high-quality visual content in real time, while also integrating with its Sitecore web platform.
Nosto helped Canon Australia implement a user-generated content solution that powered campaigns like Canon Collective, Vivid Sydney, and the LEAP Challenge. Using Nosto, Canon Australia was able to showcase customer photos on websites and live screens, launch content-collection competitions faster, and make its social strategy heavily UGC-driven; as a result, UGC now makes up 80% of its social content, and its Instagram following grew by 100K per year for two years, surpassing 300K followers.
