Campus Protein, founded in 2010 by two Indiana University students, is a supplements retailer with a large campus sales force and a global online store. They needed to make the shopping experience easy, inspiring and highly relevant for student shoppers so customers find the right products and keep returning.

Using Nosto on Shopify Plus, Campus Protein added personalized product recommendations across home, category and cart pages, a recently-viewed module, an exit pop-up offering 5% off for newsletter sign-ups, and a Klaviyo email widget with individualized suggestions. These features drove strong results: recently viewed recommendations hit a 10% conversion (9% CTR), cart recommendations 15% conversion, the pop-up 12% CTR and 8.5% of otherwise lost emails captured, and the email widget 22% CTR—helping boost conversions and overall growth.
