AVS Fencing Supplies is the UK’s leading supplier of fencing, sleepers, decking and gates serving trade, corporate and retail customers. On its Magento site a high cart abandonment rate—partly driven by trade customers using carts as job quotes—combined with rapid growth made manual follow-up impractical and created an urgent need to better activate and understand customers.

Nosto was implemented to deliver personalized recommendations (front page, category bestsellers, product cross‑/up‑sell, cart suggestions and 404 browsing history), abandoned‑cart emails and a site‑abandonment pop‑up, all backed by real‑time analytics. The changes automated stock and trend displays and drove measurable gains: recommendation clicks converted 54% better with an 11% higher AOV, time on site rose 22% with 76% more products viewed, the front‑page list converts at 6.1% and cart recommendations at 7.3%, and abandoned‑cart emails yield a 10.71% CTR.
