How did Unbounce achieve its fully remote security strategy

Unbounce, a fully distributed marketing technology platform, needed a secure way to support remote work as its offices closed during the pandemic. With most infrastructure already cloud-based but a legacy VPN gateway still in HQ for engineering access, the company needed an alternative to keep teams connected securely outside the office. NordLayer provided the connection security layer, including a virtual private gateway with a fixed IP and business VPN capabilities.

Using NordLayer, Unbounce rolled out the solution first to a pilot group of about 30 users and later expanded it to nearly 100 employees. The result was more reliable access to back-end infrastructure, reduced risk of disruption, and fewer friction points for support teams and customers, including help with geo-blocking limitations. NordLayer also gave Unbounce better visibility through a centralized Control Panel and a smoother deployment process for managed devices.
