Hipmunk wanted to build brand awareness as consumers compared travel sites and looked for the best deal on flights, hotels, and vacation rentals. To support its programmatic digital advertising strategy, Hipmunk partnered with Chong + Koster and used Nielsen Digital Brand Effect to understand how the campaign was affecting awareness in real time.
Using Nielsen Digital Brand Effect, Hipmunk measured brand lift, identified the most effective campaign elements, and optimized ad frequency while the campaign was running. The effort drove an increase in awareness 6x the Nielsen norm and gave Hipmunk audience and campaign execution learnings it could apply to future media planning and buying.
