Glendale Information Services, supporting the Glendale Police Department and regional public-safety partners in Glendale, CA, needed to improve inter-agency communications and interoperability across the ICIS Motorola SmartZone trunked radio network. As the network operations center and the first city on ICIS, Glendale required a reliable way to capture, search and analyze trunked radio traffic to diagnose issues and ensure flawless radio performance for life‑safety operations.

Glendale implemented NICE’s trunked-radio recording solution integrated with Motorola SmartZone 4.1 and Scenario Replay multi-channel search/replay, capturing audio plus decoded data (unit IDs, talkgroups, DIU IDs, timestamps). The end-to-end digital system enables fast troubleshooting, accurate chronological incident reconstruction, and rapid delivery of evidence, improving proactive monitoring, operational reliability and confidence across the ICIS region.
