National Commercial Bank Jamaica Limited, one of Jamaica’s largest and longest‑standing financial groups, set out to become more customer‑centric but was held back by disparate systems, paper‑intensive manual processes, long turnaround times, low process visibility and difficulties meeting changing market and compliance demands.
Partnering with Newgen, the bank implemented a unified BPM/ECM platform to automate consumer and corporate lending, FATCA compliance, SWIFT processing, collections and mobile onboarding. The solution centralized workflows, reduced manual effort and errors, sped up onboarding and payments, and strengthened compliance — yielding a 531% increase in consumer loan volume, 43% and 55% reductions in delinquency for loans and cards, a 50% reduction in collections FTEs, and large cuts in turnaround times and document handling costs.
