A leading public sector bank in India with a global presence was struggling with a paper-heavy, time-consuming account-opening process. Branches frequently recorded incomplete or inaccurate customer data, the core system was not image-enabled so Account Opening Forms (AOFs) were hard to retrieve, courier and welcome-kit tracking was missing, and long data-entry times and duplicate records harmed customer service and operational efficiency.
