A Newgen Software Case Study
A federal statutory body in Malaysia under the Ministry of Finance that manages compulsory savings and retirement plans for private‑sector workers faced growing operational and compliance challenges. Its legacy document processes relied on manual scanning and uploads, lacked MIS reporting and payment-tracking, increased processing times and costs, and reduced transparency for citizens and staff across 2,500+ users in 65+ branches.
Partnering with Newgen, the organization deployed Newgen’s ECM and low‑code BPM platforms to automate capture, indexing, workflows and case management, and migrated 15+ TB of content from FileNet, SharePoint and shared folders. Automated workflows for telegraphic transfers, cheque replacements, payment releases, legal/appeal handling and fraud investigations (with bank and portal integrations) delivered faster processing and intra‑department communication, anytime/anywhere access, stronger compliance and reporting, higher employee productivity, and improved transparency for citizens.
