Bank Dhofar, one of Oman's largest and fastest-growing banks, faced rising volumes and increasing complexity in its commercial lending function. Manual, paper-based processes, multiple disparate systems, poor document management, and limited SLA/compliance controls led to long turnaround times, data inconsistency and delays in credit decisions.
The bank implemented Newgen’s Commercial Lending Solution—a unified desktop integrated with core systems (Finacle, Moody’s, mail servers), automated workflows, digitized documents and risk-based grading—to automate end-to-end loan origination and credit processing. The change cut application TAT from five days to one (75–80% improvement), raised first-time-right and SLA adherence to ~90–95%, boosted employee productivity ~70%, reduced manual intervention ~70%, and delivered faster responses, lower costs, fewer errors and centralized loan data.
