Trek Bicycle, the Wisconsin-based maker of high-performance, handcrafted bikes, needed its digital services to match the quality of its products as it relaunched trekbikes.com and migrated systems to SAP Hybris and Microsoft Azure. The company faced the challenge of keeping its consumer site, the Ascend retail management system, and the BCycle bike‑share platform fast, reliable, and observable across many environments during and after the cloud transition.
Trek implemented New Relic (APM, Synthetics, Insights) to monitor applications, simulate user flows, and democratize performance data for developers, QA, and partners—making it far easier to pinpoint and fix issues. The outcome: error rates fell from 8–14% to 0.4%, development cycles shortened, and visibility into system performance improved customer and partner confidence.
