A New Relic Case Study
Pixable is a New York–based digital media publisher that delivers personalized, visual stories to a mostly mobile Millennial audience of more than six million monthly users. With a complex, cloud-based stack that crawls millions of photos and videos per hour and serves content across mobile apps, mobile web and partners, the company needed deep, real-time visibility into mobile and web performance to improve end‑user experience and speed up troubleshooting.
Pixable implemented the full New Relic suite (APM, Mobile, Browser, etc.), quickly instrumenting front‑ and back-end services to trace requests, monitor user interactions, and correlate deploys with performance. As a result they cut bug detection time from hours or days to minutes, optimized page load performance for faster user experiences, and freed engineering resources from firefighting so teams could focus on product innovation.
