OSN is the leading entertainment network in the Middle East and North Africa, delivering multilingual premium content to customers in 24 countries on web and mobile. Facing diverse network conditions and a complex AWS-based microservices environment, OSN lacked application-level visibility and struggled to diagnose performance problems in critical systems like MyOSN—jeopardizing customer experience and competitive advantage.
After a proof of concept, OSN deployed New Relic across the full stack (backend, hosts, frontend, and mobile), which quickly pinpointed a failing DNS lookup causing a 4.5s backend delay. Fixing it boosted that application’s performance by 75%, and optimizing the internal Unify app cut response time from 14s to 4s (≈71% improvement). Today New Relic provides end-to-end visibility, alerts, and dashboards that tie technical performance to the customer journey and business metrics.
