Case Study: Workiva achieves unified observability and faster incident resolution with New Relic One

A New Relic Case Study

Preview of the Workiva Case Study

New Relic provides Workiva a unified observability platform across all applications

Workiva, a SaaS company that orchestrates business data for reporting and compliance, ran most services in AWS but relied on multiple monitoring tools (Google Stackdriver, a homegrown synthetic tool, and a third‑party metrics tool). To get a complete, granular view of telemetry and avoid manually building dashboards, the company formed an Observability Team to adopt a unified observability platform and standardize monitoring of service‑level objectives (SLOs) and availability.

Workiva consolidated on New Relic One, using its programmability to build custom apps—including a central SLO dashboard with drill‑downs, AWS and Kubernetes monitors, and synthetic tests for production features. The change delivered unified observability, centralized SLO tracking and daily availability checks, improved uptime reporting for customers, faster incident resolution (lower MTTR), and a path to stronger CI/CD testing and infrastructure cost optimization.
