DeinDeal AG is one of Switzerland’s largest flash‑sale e‑commerce sites, sending a 7:00 a.m. newsletter that creates daily “Black Friday” traffic spikes across desktop and mobile (more than half of visits) and serving over a million customers. As the platform and mobile app ecosystem grew more complex, the team relied on multiple disconnected monitoring tools and manual data aggregation, making it hard to pinpoint root causes, prevent bottlenecks, and guarantee fast, available, and easy customer experiences during peak loads.
DeinDeal implemented the New Relic suite (APM, Browser, Mobile, Insights) as a single-pane-of-glass monitoring solution to get real-time visibility across APIs, backend, web and mobile. The unified dashboards and alerts reduced MTTR, enabled proactive issue detection (including fixing a persistent mobile bug), improved capacity and load-balancing decisions, and fostered a DevOps culture—resulting in faster resolutions, better performance for customers, and stronger readiness to scale.
