Mirego is a Quebec City–based mobile design and development firm (40 employees) that has built more than 90 native smartphone and tablet apps used by millions. The team struggled to diagnose issues in production mobile apps: limited device/network testing, non-crashing errors, and analytics that didn’t reveal API or network problems made troubleshooting slow and risky, often yielding bad app-store reviews and long resolution cycles.
By adding New Relic for Mobile Apps (a quick drop-in library), Mirego gained real-user, per-request visibility into API calls, network errors, and user location (via IP). The result: server MTTR fell from 24 hours to 6 hours (a fourfold improvement), API-related troubleshooting went from days to minutes, and the team can proactively detect and fix mobile issues—improving client experience and retention.
