MetaPack Improves Availability and Accelerates Troubleshooting with New Relic Platform

MetaPack is a London-based cloud delivery-management platform used by major retailers that has scaled from 200,000 to 1.2 million parcels daily (peaking at 3–5 million). Rapid growth and strict SLAs made system availability and response time critical, but MetaPack relied on disparate monitoring tools (Nagios, Pingdom) and manual log checks, which slowed fault diagnosis and risked poor customer experiences.

MetaPack adopted the New Relic platform—APM, Synthetics, Insights and Infrastructure—to get real-time, transaction-level visibility, synthetic user checks, unified dashboards and targeted alerts. The change sped troubleshooting, improved SLA reporting, and enabled proactive fixes, delivering an estimated 80% time saving from vendor consolidation and boosting availability from 99.4% to 99.96%.
