A New Relic Case Study
Lyst is a London-based online fashion search platform that connects millions of shoppers to over 11,000 designers and stores. Growing to 60 million annual shoppers and migrating from a monolithic app to 50+ microservices, Lyst struggled with limited, reactive performance insight—relying on parsed logs and lacking a way to proactively identify and diagnose customer-impacting issues.
Lyst deployed New Relic (APM, Mobile, Browser, Synthetics) to gain end-to-end visibility, visualize service interdependencies, set alerts across servers and microservices, and run synthetic user tests. The platform surfaced root causes quickly, alerted engineers to health changes before customers were affected, improved response times and the overall shopping experience, and now supports ongoing mobile optimization efforts.
