Liazon, the company behind the Bright Choices private benefits exchange, helps employers manage healthcare costs for millions of employees. Rapid growth and a highly cyclical business—about 80% of volume during October–December open enrollment—left Liazon’s engineering team flying blind, with little real-time visibility into production performance and a reactive posture that risked customer experience and retention.
Liazon deployed New Relic APM and then expanded to New Relic Browser, Insights and Synthetics to gain real-time software analytics across development, testing and production. The tools exposed performance issues early, enabled fixes before code reached production, and pinpointed production problems so they could be resolved within hours—reducing customer impact, improving SLAs and scalability, and helping prioritize product work to support growth and global rollout.
