Kurt Geiger, the UK fashion retailer, needed better visibility into website performance ahead of major sales periods like European summer and Black Friday. Its marketing and engineering teams were siloed, and while Google Core Web Vitals showed the site was underperforming, they lacked granular measurement to understand what was causing slowdowns and how to improve the customer experience.

Using New Relic and custom instrumentation from Magento and Next.js, Kurt Geiger built a Core Web Vitals dashboard and NRQL alerts to create a single source of truth for site performance. The company quickly saw its score was low at around 45–50 and used the dashboard to target improvements toward 80–85, while also identifying checkout drop-off points and performance spikes in real time.
