How IGS cut costs while improving monitoring

Intelligent Growth Solutions (IGS), a small but rapidly scaling company running automated growth towers, needed reliable observability for its Kubernetes-heavy environment while keeping costs and operational overhead low. Its existing Azure Application Insights setup didn’t fit well, and managing open source tools would have stretched a lean team too far, so IGS turned to New Relic for a Kubernetes-native monitoring, logging, and tracing solution.

New Relic helped IGS instrument most of its estate in about a day and a half using APM agents and standard log integrations, with additional support for OpenTelemetry, Prometheus, and Terraform-based automation. The results were strong: New Relic cut spend by 58%, reduced MTTR by 80%, and shortened feature delivery from 22 days to 4 days, while also enabling better alerts, logs in context, and proactive monitoring across dynamic environments.
